Corinthians 2
Wisdom from God's Spirit Revealed
Open in the reader →1And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come with lofty speech or wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.
For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus the Messiah—and him crucified.
And I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in great trembling,
And my speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
so that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Yet we do speak wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing.
But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom that God predestined before the ages for our glory.
which none of the rulers of this age has known, for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But just as it is written, “What no eye has seen, and no ear has heard, and what has not entered into the heart of man—what God has prepared for those who love him.”
For God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
For who among people knows the things of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? In the same way, no one has known the things of God except the Spirit of God.
But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we may know the things graciously given to us by God.
These things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to spiritual people.
But the natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But the spiritual person evaluates all things, yet he himself is evaluated by no one.
For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Messiah.
