1 Enoch 65

1In those days Noah saw that the earth had tilted and that its destruction was near.

2He set out from there and went to the ends of the earth. Noah cried out to his grandfather Enoch in a bitter voice, saying three times, “Hear me, hear me, hear me!”

3I said to him, “Tell me what is happening on the earth. The earth is so exhausted and shaken; perhaps I will be destroyed with it.”

4After that time a great disturbance arose on the earth. A voice was heard from heaven, and I fell on my face.

5My grandfather Enoch came and stood beside me. He said to me, “Why have you cried out to me with a bitter cry and weeping?”

6And a command went out from before the Lord against those who dwell on the dry land, that their end should come; for they knew all the hidden things of the angels, and all the violence of the satans, and all their secret powers.

7They know how silver is produced without the earth, and how easily melted metal comes into being on the earth.

9After this my grandfather Enoch took me by the hand and raised me. He said to me, “Go, for I have asked the Lord of Spirits about this disturbance on the earth.”
