1 Enoch 86

Stars Fall Feed Among Cattle

Open in the reader →

1And again I looked with my eyes while I was sleeping, and I saw heaven above, and behold, one star fell from heaven, and it arose and ate and grazed in the midst of those cattle.

2And after that I saw large and black cattle, and behold, all of them changed their stalls and their pastures and their calves, and they began to live with one another.

3And again I saw in the vision, and I looked up to heaven; and behold, I saw many stars. They came down and were cast from heaven to that first star, and among those calves they became bulls, and they pastured with them.

4And I looked at them and saw: behold, they all let out their private parts like horses, and they began to mount the cows; and they all conceived and gave birth to elephants, camels, and donkeys.

5And all the cattle feared them and were terrified by them, and they began to bite with their teeth and to devour and to gore with their horns.

6And they began again to devour those cattle, and behold, all the children of the earth began [to tremble and flee].
