2 Baruch 12
Baruch Warns of Coming Wrath
Open in the reader →1But I will speak as I understand, and I will speak against you, land that prospers.
2For the noonday blaze does not burn forever, nor do the rays of the sun continue to give light.
3Do not expect or hope that you will always have prosperity and joy. Do not exalt yourselves too highly, and do not oppress.
4For surely wrath will be aroused against you at its appointed time; for now it is restrained by longsuffering, as by a bridle.
5And after I had spoken these things, I fasted for seven days.
