2 Timothy 3

1But know this: in the last days difficult times will come.

2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderous, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3without natural affection, irreconcilable, slanderous, without self-control, savage, without love for what is good,

4traitors, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5having a form of godliness but denying its power; and turn away from these people.

6For among these are those who slip into households and capture little women burdened with sins, led along by various desires,

7always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men corrupted in mind, disqualified regarding the faith.

9But they will not advance any further, for their foolishness will be plain to everyone, as that of those men also became.

10But you have closely followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,

11the persecutions, the sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra—what persecutions I endured; and from them all the Lord rescued me.

12And indeed, all who want to live godly in Messiah Jesus will be persecuted.

13But evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

14But as for you, remain in what you learned and became convinced of, knowing from whom you learned it,

15and that from infancy you have known the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Messiah Jesus.

16Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

17so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
