Descendants Spread from Noah

Open in the reader →

These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the flood.

The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

From these the coastlands of the nations were separated in their lands, each according to his language, by their clans, in their nations.

And the sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

And the sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a mighty man on the earth.

He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahweh.”

The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

From that land Asshur went out and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah.

and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city.

And Mizraim fathered the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim.

and the Pathrusites, and the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.

And Canaan fathered Sidon his firstborn, and Heth.

and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, and the Girgashites.

and the Hivites, the Arkites, and the Sinites.

and the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the clans of the Canaanites were scattered.

And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; and as you go toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

These are the sons of Ham, by their clans, by their languages, in their lands, by their nations.

And to Shem also, the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, children were born.

The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.

The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.

And to Eber two sons were born: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan.

Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, and Jerah.

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah.

and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba.

Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

And their settlement was from Mesha as you go toward Sephar, the hill country of the east.

These are the sons of Shem, by their clans, by their languages, in their lands, by their nations.

These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, by their nations; and from these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.
