Hebrews 13

1Let brotherly love continue.

2Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it.

3Remember those in prison, as though imprisoned with them; those who are mistreated, since you yourselves also are in the body.

4Let marriage be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

5Let your way of life be free from the love of money, being content with what you have, for he himself has said, “I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you.”

6so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

7Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. As you consider the outcome of their way of life, imitate their faith.

8Jesus the Messiah is the same yesterday and today and forever.

9Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, by which those who occupied themselves with them were not benefited.

10We have an altar from which those who serve at the tabernacle have no right to eat.

11For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places for sin by the high priest are burned outside the camp.

12Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that he might sanctify the people through his own blood.

13Therefore, let us go out to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

14For we do not have a lasting city here, but we seek the one that is to come.

15Therefore, through him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise—that is, the fruit of lips confessing his name.

16And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

17Be persuaded by your leaders and yield to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they may do this with joy and not with groaning, for this would be unprofitable for you.

18Pray for us, for we are convinced that we have a good conscience, since we want to conduct ourselves well in everything.

19And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you sooner.

20May the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of an eternal covenant,

21may he equip you in every good thing to do his will, working in us what is pleasing before him through Jesus the Messiah, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

22I urge you, brothers, bear with this word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.

23Know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I will see you if he comes soon.

24Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you.

25Grace be with all of you.
