Numbers 15

1And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you come into the land of your dwellings, which I am giving to you,’

3and you present an offering by fire to Yahweh—either a burnt offering or a sacrifice—to fulfill a vow, or as a freewill offering, or at your appointed times, to make a pleasing aroma to Yahweh, from the herd or from the flock,

4then the one who presents his offering to Yahweh shall present a grain offering of fine flour, a tenth of an ephah, mixed with a fourth of a hin of oil.

5And you shall prepare a quarter of a hin of wine for the drink offering, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

6Or for a ram you shall prepare a grain offering of fine flour, two-tenths, mixed with a third of a hin of oil.

7and wine for the drink offering, a third of a hin, you shall present, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.

8And when you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or as peace offerings to Yahweh,

9then he shall present with the bull a grain offering of fine flour, three-tenths of an ephah, mixed with half a hin of oil.

10And you shall present wine for the drink offering, half a hin, an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.

11Thus it shall be done for the one bull, or for the one ram, or for the lamb among the sheep or among the goats.

12According to the number that you prepare, so you shall prepare for each one according to their number.

13Every native-born person shall do these things in this way, to present a food offering, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.

14And if a sojourner is staying with you, or anyone who is among you throughout your generations, and he offers a food offering, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh, just as you do, so he shall do.

15For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the sojourner who sojourns with you, a permanent statute throughout your generations. As you are, so shall the sojourner be before Yahweh.

16One law and one ordinance shall be for you and for the sojourner who sojourns with you.

17And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

18Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them: When you come into the land to which I am bringing you,

19And when you eat from the bread of the land, you shall present a contribution to Yahweh.

20From the first of your dough you shall lift up a loaf as a contribution; like the contribution of the threshing floor, so you shall lift it up.

21From the first of your dough you shall give to Yahweh a contribution throughout your generations.

22But if you unintentionally go astray and do not do all these commandments that Yahweh has spoken to Moses,

23everything that Yahweh has commanded you through Moses, from the day that Yahweh commanded and onward throughout your generations—

24then, if it was done unintentionally and escaped the notice of the congregation, all the congregation shall offer one bull from the herd for a burnt offering, for a pleasing aroma to Yahweh, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.

25And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, because it was an unintentional error, and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to Yahweh, and their sin offering before Yahweh, for their unintentional error.

26And all the congregation of the sons of Israel shall be forgiven, along with the sojourner who sojourns among them, because for all the people it was done unintentionally.

27But if one person sins unintentionally, then she shall present a one-year-old female goat as a sin offering.

28And the priest shall make atonement before Yahweh for the person who sins unintentionally, when he sins unintentionally, to make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven.

29The same law shall apply to the native-born Israelite and to the resident foreigner living among you when either acts unintentionally.

30But the person who acts with a high hand, whether native-born or a sojourner, is reviling Yahweh, and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

31Because he has despised the word of Yahweh and has broken his commandment, that person shall surely be cut off; his guilt is on him.

32While the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

33And those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation.

34So they put him in custody, because it had not been made clear what should be done to him.

35Then Yahweh said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; the whole congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”

36So the whole congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

37And the LORD said to Moses, saying,

38Speak to the sons of Israel and tell them to make tassels for themselves on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner.

39And it shall be a tassel for you, and when you see it, you shall remember all the commandments of Yahweh and do them, and you shall not go about after your own heart and after your own eyes, after which you are whoring.

40so that you may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.

41I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am Yahweh your God.
