Numbers 34

1Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2Command the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that will fall to you as an inheritance: the land of Canaan according to its borders.’

3Your southern side shall be from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.

4Then the border shall turn for you from the south of the Ascent of Akrabbim, and cross to Zin; and its end shall be south of Kadesh-barnea; then it shall go out to Hazar-addar and cross to Azmon.

5Then the border shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its end shall be at the sea.

6And the western border shall be for you the Great Sea as a border; this shall be your western border.

7And this shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out for yourselves Mount Hor.

8From Mount Hor you shall mark out the border to Lebo-hamath, and the end points of the border shall be at Zedad.

9Then the border shall extend to Ziphron, and its endpoint shall be Hazar-enan. This shall be your northern border.

10And you shall mark out for yourselves the eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham.

11Then the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down and reach the slope of the Sea of Kinnereth on the east.

12Then the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its end shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders all around.

13Then Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the land that you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half-tribe.”

14For the tribe of the sons of Reuben, by their fathers’ houses, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their fathers’ houses, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have taken their inheritance.

15The two tribes and the half-tribe have taken their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho, eastward, toward the sunrise.

16Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

17These are the names of the men who shall assign the land to you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

18And you shall take one leader from each tribe to inherit the land.

19And these are the names of the men: for the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh.

20And for the tribe of the sons of Simeon: Shemuel son of Ammihud.

21From the tribe of Benjamin: Elidad son of Chislon.

22And for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a leader: Bukki son of Jogli.

23For the sons of Joseph, for the tribe of the sons of Manasseh: a leader, Hanniel son of Ephod.

24And for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a leader: Kemuel son of Shiphtan.

25And for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a leader: Elizaphan son of Parnach.

26And for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a leader: Paltiel son of Azzan.

27And for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a leader: Ahihud son of Shelomi.

28And for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a leader: Pedahel son of Ammihud.

29These are the ones whom Yahweh commanded to apportion the inheritance to the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan.
