Psalm 151 1

Youngest Shepherd Anointed King

Open in the reader →

1I was small among my brothers, and younger in my father's house; I was shepherding my father's sheep.

2My hands made an instrument; my fingers fashioned a lyre.

3And who will report to my Lord? The Lord himself, he himself hears.

4He himself sent out his messenger, and took me from my father's sheep, and anointed me with the oil of his anointing.

5My brothers were handsome and tall, but the Lord did not take pleasure in them.

6I went out to meet the foreigner, and he cursed me by his idols;

7But I drew his own sword and cut off his head, and I removed disgrace from the sons of Israel.
