Psalms of Solomon 15

1When I was in distress, I called on the name of the Lord; I hoped for help from the God of Jacob, and I was saved.

2For you are the hope and refuge of the poor, O God.

3For who is strong, O God, except to give thanks to you in truth?

4And what is man able to do, except give thanks to your name?

5a new psalm with song, in the joy of the heart; the fruit of lips with the well-tuned instrument of the tongue; the firstfruits of lips from a holy and righteous heart.

6The one who does these things will never be shaken by evil; a flame of fire and the wrath of the unrighteous will not touch him.

7when it goes out against sinners from the presence of the Lord, to destroy every possession of sinners.

8For the sign of God is upon the righteous for salvation; famine and sword and death are far from the righteous.

9For they will flee from the holy ones as those pursued by war, but they will pursue sinners and overtake them; and those who practice lawlessness will not escape the Lord’s judgment; they will be captured like those seized by experienced enemies.

10For the sign of destruction is upon their foreheads,

11And the inheritance of sinners is destruction and darkness, and their lawlessness will pursue them down to Hades.

12Their inheritance will not be found for their children,

13For sins will lay waste the houses of sinners, and sinners will perish on the day of the Lord’s judgment forever.

14when God visits the earth with his judgment.

15But those who fear the Lord will be shown mercy in it, and they will live by the mercy of their God, but sinners will perish forever.
