Psalms of Solomon 9

1When Israel was carried away into exile to a foreign land, when they departed from the Lord who had redeemed them,

2They were cast out from the inheritance that the Lord gave them; the dispersion of Israel is among every nation, according to the word of God.

3So that you may be vindicated, O God, in your righteousness amid our lawless deeds;

4For you are a righteous judge over all the peoples of the earth.

5For everyone who does unjust deeds will not be hidden from your knowledge,

6And And the righteous deeds of your pious ones are before you, O Lord; and where will a man hide himself from your knowledge, O God? of your And the righteousnesses of your pious ones are before you, O Lord; and where will a man hide himself from your knowledge, O God? are before you, O Lord; and where will a man hide himself from your knowledge, O God?

7Our deeds are within the choice and power of our soul, to do righteousness and unrighteousness with the works of our hands.

8and in your righteousness you visit the sons of men;

9The one who does righteousness stores up life for himself with the Lord, and the one who does unrighteousness is himself responsible for his soul in destruction.

10For the judgments of the Lord are in righteousness toward each man and household.

11To whom will you show kindness, O God, if not to those who call on the Lord?

12He will cleanse a soul in sins by confession, by open acknowledgment.

13For shame is upon us and upon our faces because of all this.

14And to whom will he forgive sins, if not to those who have sinned?

15You will bless the righteous, and you do not call them to account for the things in which they sinned; and your goodness is toward those who sin in repentance.

16And now you are God, and we are your people whom you loved. Look and have compassion, O God of Israel, because we are yours; and do not withdraw your mercy from us, lest they attack us.

17For you chose the offspring of Abraham above all the nations,

18And you set your name upon us, O Lord; and you will never remove it.

19In a covenant you appointed to our fathers concerning us, and we will hope in you in the turning back of our soul.

20The Lord's mercy is upon the house of Israel forevermore.
