David Ruled with Holy Splendor

Open in the reader →

Of David. A psalm.

1Of David. A psalm. Yahweh says to my lord, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

2Yahweh sends forth from Zion the scepter of your strength: rule in the midst of your enemies.

3Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy splendor; from the womb of the dawn, to you belongs the dew of your youth.

4Yahweh has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever after the manner of Melchizedek.”

5The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.

6He will judge among the nations; he will fill them with corpses; he will crush the head over a vast land.

7He will drink from the brook on the way; therefore he will lift up his head.
