Psalms 118

1Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

2Let Israel now say, “His steadfast love endures forever.”

3Let the house of Aaron now say, “His steadfast love endures forever.”

4Let those who fear Yahweh now say, “His steadfast love endures forever.”

5From the narrow place I called on Yah; Yah answered me in a broad place.

6Yahweh is for me; I will not fear. What can a human do to me?

7Yahweh is for me among my helpers; I myself will look on those who hate me.

8It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to trust in man.

9It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to trust in nobles.

10All the nations surrounded me; in the name of Yahweh, I surely cut them off.

11They surrounded me; yes, they surrounded me. In the name of Yahweh, I cut them off.

12They surrounded me like bees; they were extinguished like a fire of thorns. In the name of Yahweh, I cut them off.

13You pushed me hard to make me fall, but Yahweh helped me.

14Yah is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

15The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: “Yahweh’s right hand acts with power!”

16Yahweh’s right hand is raised high; Yahweh’s right hand acts with power.

17I will not die, but I will live and recount the deeds of Yah.

18Yah has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death.

19Open the gates of righteousness for me; I will enter through them and give thanks to Yah.

20This is the gate of Yahweh; the righteous will enter through it.

21I will give thanks to you, for you answered me and became my salvation.

22The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

23This is from Yahweh; it is marvelous in our eyes.

24This is the day that Yahweh has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

25Please, Yahweh, save us! Please, Yahweh, grant us success!

26Blessed is the one who comes in the name of Yahweh; we bless you from the house of Yahweh.

27Yahweh is God, and he has given us light. Bind the festival offering with cords, up to the horns of the altar.

28You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; my God, I will exalt you.

29Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
