Psalms 46
God Keeps Us Secure Always
Open in the reader →For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A song.
1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in troubles.
2Therefore we will not fear though the earth changes, though the mountains slip into the heart of the seas.
3Its waters roar and foam; the mountains quake at its swelling. Selah
4A river—its streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High.
5God is within her; she will not be moved. God will help her when morning dawns.
6Nations raged, kingdoms tottered; he raised his voice, the earth melted.
7Yahweh of Armies is with us; the God of Jacob is a stronghold for us. Selah
8Come, see the works of Yahweh, who has made desolations on the earth.
9He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and cuts the spear in pieces; he burns the wagons with fire.
10Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted on earth.
11Yahweh of Armies is with us; the God of Jacob is a stronghold for us. Selah
