Psalms 61
David Prays for God’s Protection
Open in the reader →For the choir director; with stringed instruments. Of David.
1Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.
2From the end of the earth I call to you when my heart grows faint; lead me to a rock higher than I.
3For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower against the enemy.
4Let me dwell in your tent forever; let me take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah
5For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the inheritance of those who fear your name.
6May you add days to the days of the king; may his years be like generation after generation.
7May he dwell before God forever; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to guard him.
8So I will sing praise to your name forever, to fulfill my vows day by day.
