Song of Solomon 6
Man Celebrates Unique Devotion Love
Open in the reader →1Where has your beloved gone, most beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you?
2My beloved has gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to graze in the gardens and to gather lilies.
3I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine; he grazes among the lilies.
4You are beautiful, my love, like Tirzah, lovely like Jerusalem, awe-inspiring as bannered armies.
5Turn your eyes away from me, for they overwhelm me. Your hair is like a flock of goats streaming down from Gilead.
6Your teeth are like a flock of ewes that have come up from the washing, all of them bearing twins, and none among them has lost her young.
7Your temple is like a slice of pomegranate behind your veil.
8There are sixty queens and eighty concubines, and young women without number.
9My dove, my flawless one, is the only one; she is her mother's only one, the favorite of the one who bore her. Young women saw her and called her blessed; queens and concubines also praised her.
10Who is this who looks forth like the dawn, beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, awe-inspiring as bannered armies?
11I went down to the walnut grove to look at the shoots in the valley, to see whether the vine had budded, whether the pomegranates had blossomed.
12Before I knew it, my soul set me among the chariots of my noble people.
