Zechariah 2

1And I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, four horns.

2And I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “What are these?” And he said to me, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

3Then Yahweh showed me four craftsmen.

4Then I said, “What are these coming to do?” And he said, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one lifted up his head; and these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations that lifted up a horn against the land of Judah to scatter her.”

5And I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a man, and in his hand a measuring line.

6And I said, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long it is.”

7And behold, the angel who was speaking with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him.

8And he said to him, “Run, speak to that young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will dwell as open country because of the multitude of man and livestock within her.’”

9And I myself will be for her a wall of fire all around, declares Yahweh, and I will be glory in her midst.

10Up! Up! Flee from the land of the north, declares Yahweh, for I have spread you abroad to the four winds of the heavens, declares Yahweh.

11Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with Daughter Babylon.

12For thus says Yahweh of hosts: After glory he has sent me against the nations that plunder you, for whoever touches you touches the pupil of his eye.

13For behold, I am about to wave my hand over them, and they will become plunder for their own servants. Then you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me.

14Sing for joy and rejoice, daughter Zion, for behold, I am coming, and I will dwell in your midst, declares Yahweh.

15And many nations will join themselves to Yahweh in that day, and they will be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you.

16And Yahweh will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and he will again choose Jerusalem.

17Be silent, all flesh, before Yahweh, for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.
