Enoch 10

Judgment Comes for Fallen Watchers

Open in the reader →

Then the Most High, the Great and Holy One, spoke and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him:

Go to Noah and say to him in my name, 'Hide yourself!' And reveal to him the end that is coming; for the whole earth will be destroyed, and a flood is about to come upon all the earth, and it will destroy whatever is in it.

And now instruct him, that he may flee and preserve his seed for all the generations forever.

And again the Lord said to Raphael, “Bind Azazel by his hands and his feet, and cast him into the darkness; and open the desert that is in Dudael, and cast him there.”

And heap jagged and sharp stones upon him, and cover him with darkness; and there he shall remain forever. And cover his face so that he may not see light.

And on the great day of judgment he shall be sent away into the fire.

And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and make known the healing of the earth, so that they may heal the earth, and all the children of men may not perish through all the secrets that the Watchers have disclosed and taught to their sons.

And the whole earth has been corrupted by the teaching of the works of Azazel; and to him ascribe all sin.

And to Gabriel the Lord said, “Go against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication; destroy the children of fornication and the children of the Watchers from among humankind. Send them out against one another, and let them perish in battle; for length of days shall not be theirs.”

And these things that they ask of you shall not be granted to their fathers on their behalf; for they hope to live an everlasting life, and each one of them will live five hundred years.

And to Michael the Lord said, “Go, bind Shemihazah and the others with him, who joined themselves with women so as to defile themselves with them in their uncleanness.”

And when all their sons have slain one another, and when they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them for seventy generations beneath the hills of the earth, until the day of their judgment and of their consummation, until the judgment that is for all eternity is completed.

And in those days they will lead them down into the abyss of fire, and into torment and the prison-house; and there they will be shut up forever.

And when he burns and perishes, from now on they shall be bound together with them until the completion of the generations of generations.

And destroy these spirits of the bastards and the children of the Watchers, because they have oppressed humankind.

Destroy all violence from the face of the earth, and every evil deed shall come to an end; and the plant of righteousness and uprightness shall appear, and it shall become a blessing.
