1 Enoch 10

1Then the Most High, the Great and Holy One, spoke and sent Asaryalyur to the son of Lamech, and said to him:

2[Go to Noah and] say to him in my name, “Hide yourself!” Reveal to him the end that is coming, for the whole earth will be destroyed. The waters of a flood are about to come over the whole earth and destroy everything in it.

3And now instruct him, so that he may escape and establish his offspring for all generations forever.

4[Again] the Lord said to Raphael, “Bind Azazel by his hands and feet, and cast him into darkness. Open up the wilderness in Dudael, and cast him there.”

5Place rough and sharp stones over him, cover him with darkness, and let him dwell there forever. Cover his face so that he may not see light.

6On the great day of judgment, let him be sent into burning heat.

7Bring the earth, which the angels corrupted, back to life, and proclaim life to the earth, so that it may live and all the children of humanity may not perish because of all the mysteries that the Watchers [disclosed] and taught to their children.

8The whole earth has been corrupted through the teaching of Azazel’s practices. Write every sin against him.

9And the Lord said to Gabriel, “Go against the illegitimate offspring and the outcasts, and against the children of fornication. Destroy the children of fornication and the children of the Watchers from among humankind. Drive them out and send them against one another, so that they destroy one another in battle, for they will have no length of days.”

10And what they ask of you shall not be granted to their fathers on their behalf, because they hope to live an eternal life, and that each one of them will live five hundred years.

11The Lord said to Michael, “Go, announce to Semyaza and the others with him, who joined with women to become corrupted with them in their impurity.”

12When all their sons have slaughtered one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them for seventy generations beneath the hills of the earth, until the day of their judgment and their end—until the judgment that is forever and ever is completed.

13At that time they will take them into the depths of fire, [and] into torment and a prison-house, and they will be shut up forever.

14And when one burns and is destroyed, from then on they will be bound together with them until the completion of generation after generation.

15Destroy all these spirits of illegitimate birth and the offspring of the Watchers, because they have oppressed humanity.

16Destroy all oppression from the face of the earth, and let every evil deed come to an end. Let the plant of righteousness and uprightness appear and become a blessing; deeds of righteousness and uprightness will be planted forever in joy.

17Now all the righteous will escape and remain alive until they beget a thousand; they will complete all the days of their youth and their rest in peace.

18In those days the whole earth will be cultivated in righteousness; the whole of it will be planted with trees and filled with blessing.

19Every delightful tree will be planted on it, and vineyards will be planted on it. The vine planted on it will produce wine in abundance. Every seed sown on it—one measure will produce a thousand; and one measure of olives will produce ten press-measures of oil.

20Cleanse the earth from all oppression, all lawlessness, all sin, and all wickedness. Bring to an end every defilement committed on the earth.

21All the children of humanity will be righteous; all the nations will worship and bless me, and they will all bow down to me.

22The earth will be cleansed of all corruption, all sin, all scourging, and all suffering. Never again will I send these things on it, from generation to generation and forever.
