Enoch 9

Then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked out from heaven and saw much blood being poured out on the earth, and all the lawlessness being committed on the earth.

And they said among themselves, “The voice of their cry has ascended, and the earth has cried out as far as the gate of heaven.”

[And now, to you, holy ones of heaven,] the souls of human beings bring their complaint, saying, “Present our case before the Most High.”

And they said to their Lord: “Lord of lords, God of gods, and King of kings, the throne of your glory endures throughout all generations of the world. Your name is holy and glorious throughout the whole world, and is blessed and honored.”

You made everything, and authority over everything is with you. Everything is uncovered before you and manifest. You see everything, and nothing can hide itself from you.

You have seen what Azazel has done: he taught all lawlessness on the earth and revealed the secrets of eternity—those that are carried out in the heavens—and humankind came to know them.

And as for Semyaza, you gave him authority to rule those who were together with him.

They went to the daughters of humankind on the earth and lay with them—with those women—and became defiled, and revealed every sin to them.

The women gave birth to giants, through which the whole earth was filled with blood and lawlessness.

And now, behold, the souls of those who have died cry out and make their appeal as far as the gate of heaven. Their lament has ascended and cannot cease because of the lawlessness being committed upon the earth.

You know everything before it comes to be, and you know this and what belongs to them. Yet you have not told us what we should do to them concerning this.
