1 Enoch 9

1And then Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel looked down from heaven and saw much blood being poured out upon the earth, and all the lawlessness being done upon the earth.

2And they said among themselves, “The voice of their outcry has reached the gates of heaven.”

3And now, to you, the holy ones of heaven, the souls of men make their plea, saying, ‘Bring our case before the Most High.’

4And they said to their Lord, the King, “For you are Lord of lords, God of gods, and King of kings, and the throne of your glory is through all the generations of eternity, and your name is holy and glorious through all eternity, and blessed.”

5You have made all things, and authority over all is with you; and all things are uncovered and laid bare before you, and you see all things, and there is nothing that can hide itself from you.

6You see what Azazel has done—how he has taught all unrighteousness upon the earth and revealed the hidden things of the world that are done in the heavens, which men learned.

7And Semyaza, to whom you gave authority to rule over those who are with him.

8And they went to the daughters of men on the earth, and they lay with them, with those women, and they defiled themselves and revealed to them every sin.

9and the women have borne giants, and by this the whole earth has been filled with blood.
