Seven Stars Shackled in Abyss

1And I went on until I came to a place where nothing is made.

2And there I saw a fearful work: I saw neither the heavens above nor the firmly founded earth, but a place unformed and terrible.

3And there I saw seven stars of heaven, bound together in it, like great mountains, and burning with fire.

4At that time I said, “For what sin have they been bound, and for what reason have they been cast here?”

5And Uriel, one of the holy angels who was with me and was guiding me, said to me, “Enoch, about whom are you asking, and about whom are you inquiring and searching?”

6These are among the stars that transgressed the command of the Lord, and they are bound here until ten thousand years are completed, the number of the days of their sins.

7And from there I went to another place, more terrible than this, and I saw a fearful work: a great fire was there, burning and blazing, and the place had a cleft reaching to the abyss, full of great pillars of fire descending; neither its measure nor its size was I able to see, and I was not able to look at it.

8And at that time I said, “How terrible this place is, and grievous to behold.”

9And at that time Uriel—one of the holy angels, who was with me—answered me and said to me, “Enoch,”
