1 Enoch 37

1A vision that he saw: a second vision of wisdom that Enoch, son of Jared, son of Mahalalel, son of Cainan, son of Enos, son of Seth, son of Adam, saw.

2This is the beginning of the word of wisdom that I have taken up to speak to those who dwell on dry land: “Hear, you former ones, and see, you latter ones, the holy words that I speak before the Lord of Spirits.”

3It is better to speak to these former ones, but we will not withhold the beginning of wisdom from the latter ones either.

4Until now, the wisdom I have received had not been given to me from the presence of the Lord of Spirits, as I considered, as the Lord of Spirits willed, from whom a share of eternal life was given to me.

5Three parables came to me, and I took them up, telling them to those who dwell on dry land.
