1 Enoch 38

Righteous Gather Sinners Judged

Open in the reader →

1The first parable. When the assembly of the righteous appears, and sinners are judged for their sins, and are driven away from the face of the earth,

2And when righteousness appears on the faces of the righteous, the chosen, whose deeds hang upon the Lord of Spirits, and light will appear to the righteous and to the chosen who dwell on the dry ground, where then is the dwelling of sinners, and where the resting place of those who denied the Lord of Spirits? It would have been better for them had they not been born.

3When the hidden things of the righteous are revealed, sinners will be judged, and the wicked will be driven away from the face of the righteous and the chosen.

4And from now on the mighty and exalted who possess the earth shall not be so, nor shall they be able to look on the face of the holy ones, because the Lord of Spirits has caused his light to appear on the face of the holy, the righteous, and the chosen.
