1 Enoch 38

1The first parable. When the assembly of the righteous appears, and sinners are judged for their sins and driven away from the face of the earth,

2and when righteousness appears on the faces of the righteous, the chosen whose deeds hang upon the Lord of Spirits, and light appears to the righteous and chosen who dwell on the dry land, where will sinners dwell, and where will those who denied the Lord of Spirits find rest? It would have been better for them not to have been born.

3When the hidden things of the righteous are revealed, sinners will be judged, and the wicked will be driven away from the presence of the righteous and chosen.

4From then on, those who possess the earth will no longer be mighty and exalted, nor will they be able to look upon the face of the holy ones, because the Lord of Spirits has shown his light on the face of the holy, righteous and chosen ones.

5At that time kings and mighty ones will perish and be handed over into the hands of the righteous and holy ones.

6From then on there will be no one to plead for mercy for them with the Lord of Spirits, because their life has come to an end.
