1 Enoch 41

1After that I saw all the hidden things of the heavens, how the kingdom is divided, and how the works of humankind are weighed in a balance.

2There I saw the dwellings of sinners and the dwellings of the holy ones. My eyes saw there all the sinners who deny the name of the Lord of Spirits being driven away from that place. They are dragged away and cannot stand under the scourge that comes from the Lord of Spirits.

3There my eyes saw the hidden things of lightning and thunder, and the hidden things of the winds—how they are divided to blow upon the earth—and the hidden things of clouds and dew. There I saw where it comes from in that place; from there they are filled with the dust of the earth.

4There I saw closed storehouses. From them the winds are apportioned: the wind from the storehouse of hail, the wind from the storehouse of mist, and that of the cloud; its cloud dwells above the earth from before the world.

5I saw the storehouses of the sun and moon: where they come out and where they go in, their glorious return, and how one surpasses the other in glory. Their course is blessed. They do not overstep their course, add to it or take away from their course. They keep faith with one another by an oath—“who have dwelt.”

6The sun comes out first and makes its course at the command of the Lord of Spirits, and his name endures forever and ever.

7After that I saw the hidden and visible path of the moon. It completes the course of its path in that place by day and by night. One looks toward the other before the Lord of Spirits. They give thanks and praise and do not rest, because their thanksgiving is rest for them.

9No angel can prevent it, nor can any ruler: he sees them all for judgment, and he himself judges all these before him.
