Enoch 46

Enoch Sees Son of Man

Open in the reader →

And there I saw one who had a head of days, and his head was like white wool; and with him was another, whose face was like the appearance of a man, and his face was full of grace, like one of the holy angels.

And I asked one of the angels who was going with me, and who was showing me all the hidden things, concerning that Son of Man—who he was, and from where he came, and why he was going with the Head of Days.

And he answered me and said to me, “This is the Son of Man, to whom righteousness belongs, and righteousness dwells with him; and he will reveal all the treasuries of what is hidden, because the Lord of Spirits has chosen him, and his lot has prevailed before the Lord of Spirits forever in uprightness.”

And this Son of Man whom you have seen will raise up kings and the mighty from their couches, and the strong from their thrones; and he will loosen the loins of the strong, and crush the teeth of sinners.

And he will cast down the kings from their thrones and from their kingdoms, because they do not exalt him, and do not praise him, and do not acknowledge from where the kingdom was given to them.

And he will cast down the face of the strong ones, and he will fill them with shame; and darkness shall become their dwelling, and worms their bed. And they shall have no hope of rising from their beds, because they do not exalt the name of the Lord of Spirits.

And these are those who judge the stars of heaven.
