1 Enoch 6

1When human beings multiplied in those days, beautiful and lovely daughters were born to them.

2The angels, the sons of heaven, saw them and desired them. They said to one another, “Come, let us choose wives for ourselves from among human beings and father children for ourselves.”

3Simyaza, who was their leader, said to them, “I fear that you may not be willing for this deed to be done, and that I alone will have to pay for this great sin.”

4All of them answered him, “Let us all swear an oath and bind one another under a curse, so that we will not turn away from this plan but carry out this [plan] deed.”

5Then they all swore together and bound one another under a curse by it.

6They were two hundred in all, and they descended upon Ardis, which is the summit of Mount Hermon. They called it Mount Hermon because they swore there and bound themselves together under a ban.

7And these are the names of their angels: Semiazaz—he was their angel—Arakibaremeel, Kokabiel, Tamiel, Ramiel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqiyel, Asael, Armaros, Baterel, Ananel, Zaqeel, Samsapeel, Saterel, Turel, Yomyael, and Arazial.

8These were their chiefs of tens.
