1 Enoch 71

1And after this it happened: my spirit was taken up, and it ascended into the heavens; and I saw the sons of the holy angels walking upon a flame of fire, and their garments were white, and their faces shone like snow.

2And I saw two rivers of fire, and the light of that fire shone like hyacinth, and I fell on my face before the Lord of Spirits.

3And the angel Mika'el, one of the chief angels, took hold of my right hand and raised me up, and brought me out to all the hidden things; and he showed me all the hidden things of mercy, and he showed me all the hidden things of righteousness.

4And he showed me all the hidden things of the ends of heaven, and all the storehouses of the stars and the lights, from where they all come forth before the face of the holy ones.

5And my spirit was covered in the heaven of heavens, and I saw there, in the midst of that light, something built of stones of hail, and in the midst of those stones were tongues of living fire.

6And my spirit saw the enclosure that surrounded that house of fire, and from its four sides were rivers full of living fire, and they surrounded that house.

7And around it were the seraphim and the cherubim and the ophannim, and these are those who do not sleep and who keep watch over the throne of his glory.

8And I saw angels beyond number, thousands of thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand, surrounding that house; and Mikael and Rufael and Gabrʾel and Fanʾuel, and the holy angels who are above the heavens, were going in and coming out of that house.

9And there came out from that house Mikael and Rufael and Gabr'el and Fanuel, and many holy angels without number.

10And with them was the Head of Days, and his head was like white and pure wool, and his garment cannot be described.

11And I fell on my face, and all my flesh melted away, and my spirit was transformed; and I cried out with a loud voice ... in the spirit of power, and I blessed and praised and exalted him.

12And those blessings that went out from my mouth became acceptable before that Head of Days.

13And that Head of Days came with Michael and Raphael and Gabriel and Phanuel, and thousands and ten thousands of angels who have no number.
