1 Enoch 80

1In those days the angel Uriel answered me and said, “Look, Enoch, I have shown you everything and revealed it all to you, so that you may see this sun and this moon, those who lead the stars of heaven, and all who turn them—their activities, their periods, and their entrances.”

2“In the days of sinners the years will grow shorter. Their crops will be late on their land and in their fields. Everything done upon the earth will change and will not appear at its proper times. Rain will be withheld, and the sky will hold it back.”

3“In those times the earth’s produce will be late and will not sprout in its proper season, and the fruit of the trees will be withheld in its own season.”

4“The moon will change its order and will not appear at its own time.”

6“Many of the heads of the stars will stray from the command. These will change their paths and their activities, and they will not appear at the times appointed for them.”

7“The whole order of the stars will be shut off from sinners. The thoughts of those on earth will go astray concerning them. [They will turn away from all their paths.] They will go astray and consider them gods.”

8“Evil will increase upon them, and a scourge will come upon them so as to destroy everything.”
