1 Enoch 84

Enoch Blesses Holy God

Open in the reader →

1And I lifted up my hands in righteousness, and I blessed the Holy and Great One; and I spoke with the spirit of my mouth and with the tongue of flesh, which God has made for the children of the flesh of men, so that they might speak with it; and he gave them spirit and tongue and mouth, so that they might speak by them.

2Blessed are you, O Lord, great King and mighty in your greatness, Lord of all the creation of heaven, King of kings and God of all the world. And your kingship and your kingdom and your greatness endure forever and ever, and your authority is for all generations of generations. And all the heavens are your throne forever, and the whole earth is the footstool of your feet forever and ever.

3For you have made all things, and over all things you rule; and no deed is too hard for you, and not even a single wisdom passes beyond the throne of your dwelling, nor turns away from before your face. And you know all things, and see, and hear, and there is nothing hidden from you, for you see all things.

4And now the angels of your heavens have transgressed, and your wrath is upon the flesh of men until the great day of judgment.

5And now, O God and Lord and great King, I beseech and ask that you establish my prayer for me.
