1 Enoch 84

1And I lifted up my hands in righteousness and blessed the Holy and Great One. I spoke with the breath of my mouth and with the tongue of flesh, which God made for the children of human flesh, so that they might speak with it. He gave them breath and tongue and mouth, so that they might speak with it.

2Blessed are you, O Lord, great King and mighty in your greatness, Lord of all heavenly creation, King of kings and God of all the world. Your sovereign power, your kingdom, and your greatness endure forever and ever, and your authority endures through every generation. All the heavens are your throne forever, and the whole earth is the footstool of your feet forever and ever.

3For you made all things, and you rule over everything. No deed is too hard for you—not even one. Wisdom does not depart from the place of your throne or turn away from your presence. You know and see and hear everything, and nothing is hidden from you.

4And now the angels of your heavens are guilty of sin, and your wrath will be upon human flesh until the great day of judgment.

5And now, O God and Lord and great King, I plead and ask that you grant my petition: preserve for me a remnant on the earth, and do not destroy all human flesh and strip the earth bare, leaving it devastated forever.

6And now, my Lord, destroy from the earth the flesh that provoked your wrath, but establish the flesh of righteousness and uprightness as a planting of seed forever. Do not hide your face from the prayer of your servant, O Lord.
