1 Enoch 93

1And after that, Hanok gave voice and began to speak from the books.

2And Enoch said, “Concerning the children of righteousness, and concerning the chosen of the world, and concerning the plant of uprightness, I will speak to you and make known to you, my children—I, Enoch—what was shown to me from a vision of heaven, and what I learned from the words of the holy angels, and understood from the tablets of heaven.”

3And now Enoch began to speak from the books, and he said, “I was born the seventh in the first week, while righteousness and justice still endured.”

4And after me, in the second week, great evil shall arise, and deceit shall spring up in it. And in it there shall be the first end, and in it a man shall be saved; and after it has been completed, unrighteousness shall grow, and a law shall be made for the sinners.

5And after this, in the third week, at its completion, a man shall be chosen as the plant of righteous judgment, and after him there shall come forth the plant of righteousness forever and ever.

6And after this, in the fourth week, at its completion, visions of the holy and righteous shall be seen, and a law for generation after generation and an enclosure shall be made for them.

7And after this, in the fifth week, at its completion, the house of glory and kingship shall be built forever.

8And after this, in the sixth week, all who are in it will be blind, and the hearts of all of them will forget wisdom. And in it a man will ascend, and at its completion the house of the kingdom will be burned with fire, and in it the whole stock of the chosen root will be scattered.

9And after this, in the seventh week, an apostate generation will arise, and many will be its deeds, and all its deeds will be apostasy.

10And at its completion the chosen righteous ones will be selected from the eternal plant of righteousness, and to them will be given the sevenfold instruction concerning all his creation.

11For who among all the children of men is able to hear the voice of the Holy One and not be shaken? And who is able to comprehend his thoughts? And who is able to look upon all the works of heaven?

12And who is there that can behold heaven? And who is there that can understand the works of heaven? Or see a soul—or, if not, a spirit—and tell of it? Or else ascend and see all their ends?
