Enoch 94
Choose Righteousness Over Wicked Paths
Open in the reader →1And now I say to you, my children: love righteousness and walk in it; for the paths of righteousness are worthy and acceptable, but the paths of iniquity will quickly be destroyed and vanish.
And to wise men from a generation, the paths of violence and death will be revealed, and they will keep far from them and will not follow them.
And now I say to you, the righteous: do not walk in the paths of evil, nor in the paths of death, and do not draw near to them, lest you be destroyed.
But seek and choose for yourselves righteousness and a good life, and walk in the paths of peace, so that you may live and prosper.
And command them in the thought of your hearts, and do not let my words be blotted out from your hearts; for I know that sinners will tempt men to practice evil wisdom, and no place will be found for it, and no temptation will diminish.
Woe to those who build up unrighteousness and oppression, and who lay the foundation of deceit, for they will be swiftly overthrown, and they will have no peace.
Woe to those who build their houses by sin, for they will be torn down from all their foundations; [and they will fall by the sword;] and those who acquire gold and silver will quickly be destroyed in judgment.
Woe to you, rich ones, for you have trusted in your riches, and from your riches you will depart, because you did not remember the Most High in the days of your riches.
You have committed reproach and violence, and you have made yourselves ready for the day of the shedding of blood, and for the day of darkness, and for the day of the great judgment.
