Thanksgiving Offered Holy Father

Open in the reader →

1But after you are satisfied, give thanks in this way:

2We give thanks to you, Holy Father, for your holy name, which you caused to dwell in our hearts, and for the knowledge and faith and immortality which you made known to us through Jesus your servant; to you be the glory forever.

3You, almighty Master, created all things for the sake of your name, and gave food and drink to people for enjoyment, so that they might give thanks to you; but to us you graciously gave spiritual food and drink and eternal life through your servant.

4Before all things we give thanks to you because you are mighty; to you be the glory forever.

5Remember, Lord, your church, to deliver it from every evil and to perfect it in your love; and gather it from the four winds, the one sanctified for your kingdom, which you prepared for it. For yours is the power and the glory forever.

6Let grace come, and let this world pass away. Hosanna to the son of David. If anyone is holy, let him come; if anyone is not, let him repent. Maranatha. Amen.

7But permit the prophets to give thanks as they desire.
