Exodus 35

1Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel and said to them, “These are the things that Yahweh has commanded to be done.”

2Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there shall be for you a holy Sabbath, a complete rest to Yahweh. Whoever does work on it shall surely be put to death.

3You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.

4Then Moses said to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, “This is the thing that Yahweh has commanded, saying,”

5Take from among you an offering for Yahweh. Everyone whose heart is willing shall bring it—Yahweh’s offering: gold, silver, and bronze.

6and blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen, and goats’ hair,

7and rams’ skins dyed red, and hides of sea cows, and acacia wood.

8oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense,

9onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

10And every skillful person among you shall come and make all that Yahweh has commanded:

11the tabernacle, its tent, and its covering; its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its bases;

12the ark and its poles, the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen,

13the table, and its poles, and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence,

14and the lampstand for the light, and its utensils, and its lamps, and the oil for the light,

15the altar of incense and its poles, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the entrance to the tabernacle;

16the altar of burnt offering, and the bronze grating that belongs to it, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand—

17the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court—

18the pegs of the tabernacle, and the pegs of the courtyard, and their ropes—

19the finely woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for serving as priests.

20Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel went out from before Moses.

21And everyone came whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him willingly brought Yahweh’s contribution for the work of the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

22So the men came with the women. Everyone whose heart was willing brought brooches, earrings, rings, and ornaments—all kinds of gold jewelry. And every man who presented a wave offering of gold to Yahweh did so.

23And every man with whom blue yarn, purple yarn, scarlet yarn, fine linen, goats’ hair, ram skins dyed red, and tahash skins were found brought them.

24Everyone who offered a contribution of silver or bronze brought Yahweh’s contribution, and everyone with whom acacia wood was found for any work of the service brought it.

25And every woman wise of heart spun with her hands, and they brought what they had spun: the blue, the purple, the scarlet yarn, and the fine linen.

26And all the women whose hearts moved them with skill spun the goats' hair.

27And the leaders brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

28the balsam and the oil for the light, and for the anointing oil and for the incense of spices,

29Every man and woman whose heart moved them to bring something for all the work that Yahweh had commanded to be done through Moses—the children of Israel brought a freewill offering to Yahweh.

30Then Moses said to the sons of Israel, “See, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.”

31and he filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, and with knowledge, and with every kind of craftsmanship.

32to devise designs, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze,

33in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the carving of wood, to do every kind of skillful work.

34And he has put in his heart the ability to teach, both he and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35He has filled them with wisdom of heart to do every kind of work of an engraver, a designer, and an embroiderer in blue, in purple, in scarlet yarn, and in fine linen, and of a weaver—makers of every kind of work and designers of designs.
