Exodus 38

1He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood, five cubits its length and five cubits its width, square, and three cubits its height.

2He made its horns on its four corners; its horns were of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with bronze.

3He made all the utensils of the altar: the pots, the shovels, the basins, the forks, and the firepans. He made all its utensils of bronze.

4He made for the altar a grating, a network of bronze, under its ledge, beneath, up to its halfway point.

5He cast four rings on the four corners of the bronze grating as holders for the poles.

6He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze.

7He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, to carry it with them. He made it hollow, with boards.

8He made the basin of bronze and its stand of bronze from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

9He made the courtyard. On the south side, toward the south, the hangings of the courtyard were of finely twisted linen, a hundred cubits long.

10Their pillars were twenty, and their twenty bases were bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands were silver.

11And for the north side there were a hundred cubits, their twenty pillars and their twenty bases of bronze, and the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver.

12And for the west side there were hangings of fifty cubits, with ten of their pillars and ten of their bases; the hooks of the pillars and their bands were silver.

13And for the east side, eastward, fifty cubits.

14Fifteen cubits of hangings were for one side; their pillars were three, and their bases were three.

15And for the other side, on this side and on that side of the gate of the courtyard, there were hangings of fifteen cubits, their pillars three, and their bases three.

16All the hangings of the courtyard all around were of finely twisted linen.

17The bases for the pillars were bronze, and the hooks of the pillars and their bands were silver, and the overlay of their tops was silver; all the pillars of the courtyard were banded with silver.

18And the screen for the gate of the courtyard was the work of an embroiderer, in blue and purple and scarlet yarn, and fine twined linen, twenty cubits long, and five cubits high, corresponding in width to the hangings of the courtyard.

19Their four pillars and their four bronze bases, their hooks of silver, and the overlay of their tops and their bands of silver.

20And all the pegs for the tabernacle and for the surrounding courtyard were bronze.

21These are the records of the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony, as they were recorded at the command of Moses, by the service of the Levites under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.

22And Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that Yahweh had commanded Moses.

23And with him was Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, a designer, and an embroiderer in blue, in purple, in scarlet yarn, and in fine linen.

24All the gold that was used for the work, in all the work of the sanctuary—the gold of the wave offering—was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred thirty shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.

25And the silver of those counted from the congregation was one hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.

26a beka per head, that is, half a shekel by the sanctuary shekel, for everyone who passed over to those counted, from twenty years old and upward: 603,550.

27The hundred talents of silver were for casting the bases of the sanctuary and the bases of the veil: one hundred bases for the hundred talents, a talent for each base.

28And with the one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five he made hooks for the pillars, overlaid their tops, and made bands for them.

29And the bronze of the wave offering was seventy talents and 2,400 shekels.

30With it he made the bases for the entrance of the tent of meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, and all the utensils of the altar.

31the bases of the surrounding courtyard, the bases of the gate of the courtyard, all the pegs of the tabernacle, and all the pegs of the surrounding courtyard.
