Ezekiel 48

1These are the names of the tribes: from the northern extremity, beside the way of Hethlon to Lebo-hamath, Hazar-enan, at the border of Damascus northward beside Hamath, and extending from the east side to the sea, Dan, one portion.

2And along the border of Dan, from the eastern side to the western side, Asher, one portion.

3And alongside the border of Asher, from the eastern side to the western side, Naphtali, one portion.

4And along the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one portion.

5And along the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, Ephraim, one portion.

6And along the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west side, Reuben, one portion.

7And along the border of Reuben, from the eastern side to the western side, Judah, one portion.

8Along the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the contribution that you shall set apart: twenty-five thousand in width, and in length like one of the portions, from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in its midst.

9The contribution that you shall set apart for Yahweh shall be twenty-five thousand in length and ten thousand in width.

10And for these, the holy contribution shall belong to the priests: on the north, twenty-five thousand in length; on the west, ten thousand in width; on the east, ten thousand in width; and on the south, twenty-five thousand in length; and the sanctuary of Yahweh shall be in its midst.

11It shall be for the priests who are consecrated from the sons of Zadok, who kept my charge, who did not go astray when the sons of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

12And it shall be for them a special allotment from the contribution of the land, most holy, beside the territory of the Levites.

13And alongside the territory of the priests, the Levites shall have twenty-five thousand cubits in length and ten thousand in width. The whole length shall be twenty-five thousand, and the width ten thousand.

14They must not sell any of it, nor exchange it, nor shall this choice portion of the land pass over to another, for it is holy to Yahweh.

15And the remaining five thousand in width, along the face of the twenty-five thousand, shall be common land for the city, for dwelling, and for open land; and the city shall be in its midst.

16And these are its measurements: the north side, four thousand five hundred; and the south side, four thousand five hundred; and from the east side, four thousand five hundred; and the west side, four thousand five hundred.

17And the city's open land shall be two hundred fifty cubits to the north, two hundred fifty to the south, two hundred fifty to the east, and two hundred fifty to the west.

18And the remainder along the length, corresponding to the holy contribution, shall be ten thousand to the east and ten thousand to the west; it shall correspond to the holy contribution, and its produce shall be for food for the workers of the city.

19And those who serve the city shall serve it from all the tribes of Israel.

20The whole contribution shall be twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand; you shall set apart the holy contribution as a quarter of the city's property.

21And what remains shall belong to the prince, on both sides of the holy contribution and of the city's property, alongside the twenty-five thousand of the contribution as far as the eastern border, and westward alongside the twenty-five thousand toward the western border, parallel to the portions for the prince. And the holy contribution and the sanctuary of the temple shall be in its midst.

22And from the property of the Levites and from the property of the city, in the midst of what belongs to the prince, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, it shall belong to the prince.

23And for the rest of the tribes: from the eastern side to the western side, Benjamin, one portion.

24Along the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon: one portion.

25And along the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one portion.

26And along the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one portion.

27And along the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one portion.

28And along the border of Gad, on the south side southward, the border shall run from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the Wadi of Egypt, and on to the Great Sea.

29This is the land that you shall assign as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions, declares the Lord GOD.

30And these are the exits of the city: on the north side, four thousand five hundred measures.

31And the gates of the city shall be named after the tribes of Israel: three gates on the north side—one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.

32And on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits, with three gates: the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one.

33On the south side, 4,500 cubits by measure, with three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one.

34On the west side, four thousand five hundred, with their three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.

35All around shall be eighteen thousand, and the name of the city from that day on shall be, Yahweh Is There.
