Psalms of Solomon 18

Purify Israel for Day Mercy

Open in the reader →

Lord, your mercy is upon the works of your hands forever;

Your kindness is upon Israel like a rich gift; your eyes look upon them, and none of them will be lacking.

Your ears heed the plea of the poor in hope; your judgments are over all the earth with mercy.

And your love is upon the offspring of Abraham, the sons of Israel. Your discipline is upon us as upon a firstborn, an only son,

to turn a teachable soul away from foolishness in ignorance.

May God purify Israel for a day of mercy in blessing, for a day of choosing in the raising up of his Messiah.

Blessed are those who come to be in those days, to see the good things of the Lord that he will do for the generation to come.

under the rod of discipline of the Lord's Messiah, in the fear of his God, in wisdom of spirit and righteousness and strength;

to guide men in works of righteousness in the fear of God, to set them all before the Lord.

A good generation in the fear of God, in days of mercy. Interlude.

Great and glorious is our God, dwelling in the heights;

the one who appointed the luminaries in their course for the appointed times of the hours, from day to day; and they have not departed from the path he commanded them.

Their way is in the fear of God every day, from the day God created them and forever.

And they have not gone astray since the day he created them. From ancient generations they have not departed from their ways, unless God commanded them by the command of his servants.
