Psalms 116
Psalmist Loves LORD Saves
Open in the reader →1I love Yahweh, because he hears my voice, my pleas for mercy.
Because he has inclined his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
The cords of death encircled me, and the distresses of Sheol found me; I found trouble and sorrow.
Then I called on the name of Yahweh: “Please, Yahweh, rescue my life!”
Yahweh is gracious and righteous; our God is compassionate.
Yahweh preserves the simple; I was brought low, and he saved me.
Return, my soul, to your rest, for Yahweh has been good to you.
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
I will walk before Yahweh in the land of the living.
I believed when I said, “I was greatly afflicted.”
I said in my alarm, “Everyone is a liar.”
What shall I give back to Yahweh for all his benefits to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation, and I will call on the name of Yahweh.
I will fulfill my vows to Yahweh in the presence of all his people.
Precious in the eyes of Yahweh is the death of his faithful ones.
Please, Yahweh, for I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your female servant. You have loosed my bonds.
To you I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and I will call on the name of Yahweh.
I will fulfill my vows to Yahweh in the presence of all his people.
in the courts of the house of Yahweh, in your midst, Jerusalem. Praise Yah!
