Psalms 115
Glory to LORD Alone
Open in the reader →1Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but give glory to your name because of your steadfast love, because of your faithfulness.
Why should the nations say, “Where now is their God?”
But our God is in the heavens; he does whatever he pleases.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands.
They have mouths, but they do not speak; eyes, but they do not see.
They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell.
They have hands, but do not touch; feet, but do not walk; they make no sound in their throats.
Those who make them will be like them, as will everyone who trusts in them.
Israel, trust in Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh; he is their help and their shield.
You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh; he is your help and your shield.
Yahweh has remembered us; he will bless; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
He will bless those who fear Yahweh, the small together with the great.
May Yahweh give increase to you—to you and to your children.
You are blessed by Yahweh, the Maker of heaven and earth.
The heavens are Yahweh's heavens, but the earth he has given to the sons of man.
The dead do not praise Yah, nor do any who go down into silence.
But we will bless Yah from now and forever. Praise Yah!
