Psalms 147
Praise LORD Rebuilder Healer
Open in the reader →1Praise Yah, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for praise is pleasant and fitting.
Yahweh builds Jerusalem; he gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
He counts the number of the stars; he calls all of them by name.
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond number.
Yahweh supports the humble; he brings the wicked down to the ground.
Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving; make music to our God with the lyre.
who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass sprout on the mountains.
He gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens that cry out.
He does not delight in the strength of a horse; he takes no pleasure in a man’s legs.
Yahweh delights in those who fear him, in those who hope for his steadfast love.
Praise Yahweh, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates; he has blessed your children within you.
He makes peace your border; he satisfies you with the finest wheat.
He sends his command to the earth; his word runs very swiftly.
He gives snow like wool; he scatters frost like ashes.
He throws down his ice like crumbs; who can stand before his cold?
He sends out his word and melts them; he makes his wind blow, and the waters flow.
He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and his judgments to Israel.
He has not done so for any nation; they have not known his judgments. Praise Yah!
