Psalms 146

1Praise Yah! My soul, praise Yahweh!

2I will praise Yahweh all my life; I will sing praises to my God as long as I live.

3Do not trust in princes, in a human being, who cannot save.

4His breath goes out; he returns to his ground; on that very day his plans perish.

5Blessed is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in Yahweh his God.

6who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever,

7who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives bread to the hungry. Yahweh releases those who are bound.

8Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind; Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down; Yahweh loves the righteous.

9Yahweh watches over the sojourners; he upholds the fatherless and the widow, but he twists the way of the wicked.

10Yahweh will reign forever—your God, Zion, from generation to generation. Praise Yah!
