Psalms 20
LORD Protects the Anointed King
Open in the reader →For the choirmaster. A psalm of David.
1May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2May he send you help from the sanctuary and sustain you from Zion.
3May he remember all your offerings and accept your burnt offering. Selah
4May he grant you according to your heart, and fulfill all your plans.
5We will shout for joy in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will raise our banners. May Yahweh fulfill all your requests.
6Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the mighty saving deeds of his right hand.
7Some boast in chariots and others in horses, but we boast in the name of Yahweh our God.
8They have bowed down and fallen, but we have risen and stand upright.
9O Yahweh, save! May the king answer us when we call.
