1Be gracious to me, O God, for a man pursues me; all day long an attacker oppresses me.

2My enemies pursue me all day long, for many fight against me proudly.

3When I am afraid, I will trust in you.

4In God I will praise his word; in God I have trusted; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

5All day long they twist my words; all their plans are to harm me.

6They gather together; they hide themselves; they watch my steps as they lie in wait for my life.

7Will they escape because of their iniquity? In anger bring down the peoples, O God.

8You have counted my wanderings; put my tears in your bottle—are they not in your book?

9Then my enemies will turn back when I call. This I know: God is for me.

10In God, whose word I praise; in Yahweh, whose word I praise.

11In God I have trusted; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

12I am bound by vows to you, O God; I will render thank offerings to you.

13For you have delivered my life from death; have you not also kept my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of life?
