Psalms 65

For the choirmaster. A psalm of David; a song.

1To you, silence is praise, O God, in Zion, and to you a vow will be paid.

2O you who hear prayer, to you all flesh will come.

3Matters of iniquity have overwhelmed me; our transgressions—you will atone for them.

4Blessed is the one you choose and bring near to dwell in your courts; we will be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple.

5With awesome deeds in righteousness you answer us, O God of our salvation, the confidence of all the ends of the earth and of the distant sea.

6who establishes the mountains by his power, girded with might.

7stilling the roar of the seas, the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.

8Those who dwell at the ends of the earth fear because of your signs; you make the dawn and the evening shout for joy.

9You care for the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water; you prepare their grain, for this is how you prepare the earth.

10Saturate its furrows; level its ridges. With showers you soften it; you bless its growth.

11You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance.

12The pastures of the wilderness drip, and the hills gird themselves with rejoicing.

13The pastures are clothed with flocks, and the valleys wrap themselves in grain; they shout for joy, yes, they sing.
