1 Enoch 100

1And in those days, in one place, fathers together with their sons will be struck down, and brothers together with their companions will fall in death until a stream flows from their blood.

2For a man will not withhold his hand from his sons, nor from the sons of his sons, to kill them; and the sinner will not withhold his hand from his honored brother. From dawn until the sun sets they will slaughter one another.

3And a horse will walk up to its chest in the blood of sinners, and chariots will sink up to their tops.

4In those days the angels will descend into the hidden places and gather together into one place all those who led others into sin; and the Most High will arise on that day of judgment to execute great judgment in the midst of the sinners.

5And he will appoint guardians from among the holy angels over all the righteous and holy ones, and they will guard them like the pupil of an eye, until every evil and every sin comes to an end. And even if the righteous sleep a long sleep, they have nothing to fear.

6And wise men will see, and all the children of the earth will understand every matter of this book, and they will know that their wealth cannot save them from the destruction of their sins.

7Woe to you, sinners, when you oppress the righteous on the day of fierce distress, and burn them with fire; then you will be repaid according to your deeds.

8Woe to you, hard of heart, who stay awake to devise evil: fear will come upon you, and there will be no one to help you.

9Woe to you, sinners, because of the words of your mouth and because of the deeds of your hands, which your wickedness has done: in the heat of a flame more burning than fire you shall burn.

10And now, know that your deeds will be investigated by the angels in heaven, and by the sun and the moon and the stars, concerning your sins, because upon the earth you execute judgment upon the righteous.
