Woes Pronounced on Evil Doers
Open in the reader →1Woe to you who do wickedness, and who praise and honor the word of falsehood: you will perish, and no good life will be yours.
Woe to those who pervert the word of righteousness and the eternal ordinance, and reckon themselves not to be sinners; they shall be trampled upon the earth.
In those days, you righteous, prepare yourselves to raise your prayers as a memorial, and place them as a testimony before the angels, that they may place the sin of sinners before the Most High as a memorial.
In those days nations shall be thrown into confusion, and the clans of the nations shall rise up on the day of destruction.
And in those days those who are pregnant will go out and cast away their children, and they will abandon them; and their offspring will slip from them. And while nursing, they will cast away their children and will not return to them, and they will have no mercy on their beloved ones.
And again I swear to you, sinners: sin has been prepared for the day of blood that does not cease.
And those who bow down to stone, and those who make images of gold and silver and wood and clay, and those who bow down to evil spirits and demons and to every idol without understanding—they will find no help at all from them.
And they will become senseless because of the madness of their heart, and their eyes will grow dark through the fear of their heart and through the visions of their dreams.
They will forget and be afraid, because they did all their works in falsehood, and they worshiped a stone, and they will perish in an instant.
And in those days, blessed are all those who accept the word of wisdom, and understand it, and do it, and follow the way of the Most High, and walk in the way of his righteousness, and do not act wickedly with those who act wickedly; for they shall be saved.
Woe to you who spread evil to your neighbors, for by your neighbors you will be slain.
Woe to you who make the measure of sin and deceit, and who cause bitterness upon the earth, for by it they will be destroyed.
Woe to you...
