Enoch Warns Against Sin

Open in the reader →

I swear to you that in heaven the angels remember you for good before the glory of the Great One, and your names will be written before the glory of the Great One.

Have hope, because formerly you were put to shame through evil and affliction. But now you will shine like the light of heaven; you will shine and be seen, and the portals of heaven will be opened for you.

As for your cry, cry out for judgment, and it will appear to you, because all your suffering will be required of the angels and of all those who helped those who drive you away.

Have hope, and do not abandon your hope, because great joy will be yours, like the angels of heaven.

What must you do? You will not have to hide on the day of great judgment, and you will not be found like sinners. Eternal judgment will be away from you for all the generations of the world.

Now, righteous ones, do not be afraid when you see sinners growing strong and their ways prospering. Do not become their partners, but keep far from their violence, because you are to become partners with the good ones of heaven.

Because you sinners say, “You are not called to account, and all our sins are not written down”—all your sins are being written down every day.

Now I show you that light and darkness, day and night, see all your sins.

Do not become wicked in your hearts, do not lie, and do not alter the word of truth. Do not falsify the word of the Holy and Great One, and do not reckon it for your idols, because all your falsehood and all your impurity are not for righteousness but for great sin.

Now I know this mystery: many sinners will alter and change the word of truth, speak evil words, lie, invent great creations, and write books about their own words.

But when they write all the words truthfully in their languages, neither changing nor diminishing my words, but writing everything truthfully—all that I previously announced concerning them—

And I know another mystery: books will be given to the righteous and wise for joy, for uprightness, and for much wisdom.

Books will be given to them, and they will believe in them and rejoice in them. All the righteous who have learned from them all the paths of uprightness will be rewarded.
