1 Enoch 13

1Enoch went and said to Azazel, “You will have no peace. A great sentence has gone out against you: you are to be bound.”

2No respite or petition will be granted to you, because you taught oppression, and because of all the deeds of blasphemy, oppression, and sin that you showed humankind.

3Then I went and spoke to them all together. They all feared, and fear and trembling seized them.

4And they asked me to write for them a record of their petition, so that they might receive forgiveness, and so that I might bring the record of their petition up before the Lord of heaven.

5For they could no longer speak or lift their eyes to heaven, because of the shame of their sins for which they had been condemned.

6Then I wrote a record of their petition and supplication concerning their spirits and the deeds of each one, and concerning their request that forgiveness and an extension be granted to them.

7And I went and sat by the waters of Dan, in Dan, which lies southwest of Armon, and read the record of their petition until I fell asleep.

8And behold, a dream came to me, and visions fell upon me. I saw visions of punishment, and a word came saying that I should tell the children of heaven and rebuke them.

9And when I awoke, I came to them, and they were all sitting together, weeping at Abälsyael, which is between Lebanon and Seniser, with their faces covered.

10And I recounted before them all the visions I had seen while asleep, and I began to speak those words of righteousness and to rebuke the Watchers of heaven.
