Ancient Swears Never Again
Open in the reader →1After this the Head of Days regretted it and said, “In vain I destroyed all those who dwell on dry land.”
2And he swore by his great name that from this time onward he would not do thus to all who dwell upon the dry land; and I will set a sign in the heavens, and it will be a pledge of faithfulness between me and them forever, for as long as the days of heaven are upon the earth; and this is by my command.
3“When I choose to surround them by the hand of the angels on the day of distress and pain, I will first cause my chastisement and my anger to settle upon them,” says God, the Lord of Spirits.
