1 Enoch 62

1And thus the Lord commanded the kings and the mighty and the exalted, and those who dwell on the earth, and said, “Open your eyes and lift up your horns, if you are able to recognize the Chosen One.”

2The Lord of Spirits seated him on the throne of his glory. A spirit of righteousness was poured upon him, and the word of his mouth will kill all sinners. All the unjust will be destroyed from before him.

3And in that day all the kings and the mighty and the exalted, and those who possess the earth, shall stand up, and they shall see and recognize that he sits on the throne of his glory; and righteousness shall be judged before him, and no lying word shall be spoken before him.

4And pain shall come upon them as upon a woman in labor, when her child comes to the mouth of the womb, and she is constrained in giving birth.

5And one half of them shall look at the other half, and they shall be terrified, and their faces shall fall, and pain shall seize them when they see that Son of Man sitting on the throne of his glory.

6The kings, the mighty and all who hold the earth will bless, praise and magnify him who rules over everything hidden.

7For from the beginning the Son of Man was hidden, and the Most High kept him in the presence of his power, and revealed him to the chosen ones.

8He will sow the assembly of the chosen and the holy, and all the chosen will stand before him on that day.

9All the kings, the mighty, the exalted and those who rule the dry land will fall on their faces before him. They will bow down, petition that Son of Man, plead with him and ask him for mercy.

10That Lord of Spirits will drive them to hurry away from before his face. Their faces will be filled with shame, and darkness will increase over their faces.

11They will hand them over to the angels of punishment to exact repayment from them for oppressing his righteous and chosen ones.

13The righteous and the chosen will be saved on that day, and from then on they will no longer see the faces of sinners and the unjust.

14The Lord of Spirits will dwell over them, and with that Son of Man they will eat, lie down and rise forever and ever.

16That will be your garment, a garment of life from the Lord of Spirits. Your garments will not grow old, and your glory will not come to an end before the Lord of Spirits.
