Leviticus 23

1And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them: The appointed times of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—these are my appointed times.

3For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work; it is a Sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings.

4These are the appointed times of Yahweh, holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.

5In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight, is the Passover to Yahweh.

6And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to Yahweh; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

7On the first day there shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall do no laborious work.

8And you shall present a food offering to Yahweh for seven days. On the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work.

9And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

10Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them: When you come into the land that I am giving to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring the sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest.

11And he shall wave the sheaf before Yahweh for your acceptance; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

12On the day you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb without blemish, a year old, as a burnt offering to Yahweh.

13Its grain offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, a food offering to Yahweh, a pleasing aroma; and its drink offering shall be wine, a fourth of a hin.

14And you shall not eat bread or roasted grain or fresh grain until this very day, until you have brought the offering of your God. It is a permanent statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

15And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day you bring the sheaf of the wave offering: seven complete Sabbaths shall there be.

16You shall count fifty days, up to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to Yahweh.

17From your dwellings you shall bring two loaves of bread for a wave offering; they shall be of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour, baked with leaven, as firstfruits to Yahweh.

18And with the bread you shall present seven male lambs a year old, without blemish, and one bull from the herd, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to Yahweh, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, a food offering, a pleasing aroma to Yahweh.

19And you shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

20The priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before Yahweh, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Yahweh for the priest.

21And on that very day you shall proclaim a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It is a permanent statute throughout your dwellings for your generations.

22And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely reap the edge of your field, and you shall not gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner. I am Yahweh your God.

23And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

24Speak to the sons of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, there shall be for you a solemn rest, a memorial of trumpet blasts, a holy convocation.

25You shall do no laborious work, and you shall present a food offering to Yahweh.

26And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

27But on the tenth day of this seventh month, it is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall afflict yourselves and present a food offering to Yahweh.

28You shall do no work on this very day, for it is a Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before Yahweh your God.

29For every person who does not humble himself on this very day shall be cut off from his people.

30And every person who does any work on this very day—I will destroy that person from among his people.

31You shall do no work. It is a permanent statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

32It is a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall afflict yourselves. On the ninth day of the month, in the evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.

33And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

34Speak to the sons of Israel, saying: On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to Yahweh.

35On the first day there shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work.

36For seven days you shall present a food offering to Yahweh. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall present a food offering to Yahweh. It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no ordinary work.

37These are the appointed times of the LORD, which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present a food offering to the LORD: a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, each day's matter on its day.

38besides the Sabbaths of Yahweh, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to Yahweh.

39However, on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of Yahweh for seven days. On the first day there shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day a solemn rest.

40And on the first day you shall take for yourselves the fruit of majestic trees, branches of palm trees, boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God for seven days.

41You shall celebrate it as a feast to Yahweh for seven days in the year. It is a permanent statute throughout your generations; in the seventh month you shall celebrate it.

42You shall dwell in booths for seven days; every native-born person in Israel shall dwell in booths.

43so that your generations may know that I made the sons of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.

44So Moses declared the appointed times of Yahweh to the sons of Israel.
